Roasted Chestnuts

Roasted chestnuts have a nutty flavour with a hint of sweetness that is incredibly delicious. They do not have the sweetness to be cloying, which makes them an excellent addition to a variety of meals or even a healthy snack. Biting into a roasted chestnut is similar to biting into a savoury baked potato, although roasted chestnuts are not flaky at all. They are creamy, soft and buttery and surprisingly tender due to the harder shell.

STORAGE

Roasted chestnuts can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. If you are unsure about the shelf life, you can also store them in the freezer or even puree them to make wonderful desserts.
