STORAGE

October plums should not be refrigerated until they are completely ripe; allowing them to ripen at room temperature results in more flavourful, juicy apricots. Once ripe, they may be stored in the refrigerator in a plastic bag for 4 to 5 days to extend their shelf life. And, for the best flavour, bring them back to room temperature before eating.

The plum has greenish-yellow skin with flesh golden in colour and has a crisp, juicy texture. It has a little pit in the center that sticks to the skin. With a Brix of 20, it has an extremely sweet flavour when compared to a typical plum.
