Pink Pomelo

Pomelo is a large citrus fruit native to Asia and related to the grapefruit. It has a teardrop shape, green or yellow flesh and a thick, light-coloured skin. The taste of the pomelo is similar to that of the grapefruit, but it is sweeter and has a tangy flavour profile similar to that of the grapefruit. They are usually eaten straight from the hand as a pleasant snack.

STORAGE

Pomelos can be stored at room temperature for up to one week and in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. They should be eaten immediately after peeling, otherwise the fruit will dry out.

Be sure to note that the pith and membranes should be removed before eating, as they are considered bitter and inedible.
