Daei Kodama Red Watermelon

Kodama Red Watermelon is a unique and sweet watermelon variety grown in the Tottori, Daei region of Japan. It is characterised by its reasonable size, red flesh and thin skin and with lesser seeds compared to larger watermelons. This watermelon has the sweetness level of 14 brix. Hence they are incredibly juicy and has hints of sweet fruity flavours that erupts in your mouth with every bite. 

STORAGE

If you do not want to cut your watermelon open soon, it's best to shop it at room temperature away from direct sunlight. If you want to cut your watermelon in half and want to store the other half, cover the cut surface tightly in cling film. This will prevent the watermelon from absorbing the aromas or flavours of other foods in the fridge. If you keep the watermelon in the fridge for a long period of time, it may affect its taste and nutritional value.
