Korean Semi Half-Dried Persimmons, also known as Anpogaki in Japan or Bangansi in Korea, are a prized delicacy renowned for their soft, jelly-like texture and naturally honeyed sweetness. Unlike fully dried persimmons, these are partially sun-dried and finished with cold-air drying technology, allowing them to retain their vibrant colour, delicate moisture, and rich flavour.
Each persimmon melts in your mouth — tender on the outside and moist within — a perfect balance between fresh fruit and confectionery. The unique cold-press and cold-wind drying systems help preserve nutrients, aroma, and the fruit’s signature chewy texture. On the surface, you may notice a light white dusting — this is natural sugar crystallisation, a mark of authentic, high-quality semi-dried persimmons.
These seedless Cheongdo flat persimmons are cherished as a luxurious winter treat, often enjoyed chilled or slightly thawed. In Korea, they are traditionally shared as a gift of health and good fortune during festive seasons.
Due to their semi-dried nature and natural moisture, store in the freezer upon arrival.
Before serving, thaw for 10–15 minutes for the perfect jelly-like texture.
Best consumed within 6 months when kept frozen.
