Golden Berries

Golden berries are bright orange tropical fruits encased in a papery husk (the calyx) that must be removed before eating. They are not berries as they are related to tomatillos. STORAGE

Unwashed golden berries can be stored in the refrigerator for 5 to 7 days. If you eat golden berries, be sure to wash them thoroughly before eating. Golden berries are best eaten when fully ripe - without green spots. They may turn a little pink and soften in the refrigerator, but do not worry, they are still safe for consumption.
