Japanese Plum (贵阳)

Japanese Yamanashi Kiyo Plums are a short-harvest high-quality premium plum that was recently developed in the most important plum-producing region. Whereas this plum has been classified as the world's heaviest plum, larger and more huge in size than a clinched fist (2-3 times the size of an egg). It is also known to have a high sugar content and to be sweeter than a peach. With a strong sweet, aromatic flavour, soft, juicy flesh that melts on your mouth. Before savouring the tangy but refreshing taste, it is recommended to take off the skin.

STORAGE

To ripen, unripe plums should be kept at room temperature. Place in a paper bag to speed up the process, but keep an eye on them because they are very perishable. Refrigerate them as soon as they are ripe.
